This tutorial covers using the Normals Pass, Position Pass, Shuffle, and Re-Light node in Nuke.
Rather than applying this to CG Compositing, these techniques are applied to real footage. The script is provided for free, and also has some techniques about how to use the Z-Depth pass to create fog.
Use the position pass on a CG object to create noise patterns. This is useful for creating textures or patterns on a surface, which leads to more visual breakup.
This is very useful for integrating CG into live action footage. Things in the real world don't have perfect edges or surfaces!
You can find the CG assets to work with this project in the NK303 class
How do you create colored ramp in Nuke? This video explains the basics of using a colorspace node, in order to separate an alpha into the full color spectrum.

Simple expressions for Beginner / Intermediate users, that help you with keying in Nuke.
Understanding light and materials is a big part of being a VFX artist. This tutorial breaks down how light travels across surfaces, and how it changes based on your viewing angle.

This is a very powerful Nuke Compositing technique, that allows you to split "light and detail" into separate layers.
This can be used in a variety of ways, such as rotopaint / beauty work, CG Compositing, color grading, sharpening images, enhancing textures, and more.
